Kreon Financial is a Chennai Based company developing a NBFC short term small loan application for students of select reputable colleges in India. StuCred.
The application is to establish the students credentials (college id, email etc) on registration and after having verified by an associate, permit the user to proceed further in registration process.
The USP of the application being a reward system for repayment. students available credit starts at a nominal value but increases in steps as he/she as loans are repaid, which in-turn increases the students performance score.
The application also incorporates a rewarding structure for merit students.
The Indian IT Co. was tasked to build the server the apps and admin section would work on.
The applications use case meant it would have
- a wide traffic load spectrum,
- necessitating high availability,
- fault tolerance and recovery,
- responsiveness about transactions,
- adherence to stringent security compliance.
we used serverless micro-service architecture based on aws lambda with a distributed database and caching, all deployed services were developed and deployed with CI-CD pipelines.
- Being serverless meant the app can scale from zero to thousands concurrent users with scale up time of less than a minute.
- We took a view based approach to Micro-services rather than a data entity which meant fewer api calls and faster load times.
- StuCred now runs on a stable, highly scalable, fully monitored system with end to end encrypted communication and data storage.
